Ennis Historical Trails |

Four downloadable walking trails (including maps) that incorporate the 41 information boards around the town that put its key landmarks into their historical context. Everything you’ll want to know about churches and chimneys, bow-ways and bridges, is here.


The Presidential Car

Ireland’s longest-serving President and local Clare member of the Dail (the Irish Parliament) was transported in a 1947 Plymouth Dodge. The car is now restored and located in a small, glass-fronted showroom behind the Local Studies Centre in Harmony Row.


The Ennis Whiskey Experience |

From late-Spring 2021 this guided whiskey tour will visit four Ennis pubs to taste and experience the four pillars of Irish whiskey styles—single grain, single malt, blended, and single pot still.

Both clubs welcome visitors and normally golf clubs would be available for hire but it is worth checking. 


Cusack Park |

Named after the founder of the Gaelic Athletic Association, Michael Cusack, this is he home of Clare Gaelic football and hurling teams.


Empire Cinema |

Situated in Parnell Street in Ennis town centre with seven air-conditioned screens showing all the latest blockbusters for both adults and children.


Planet Entertainment |

Quasar 2000, ten-pin bowling, Astro-Turf soccer pitches, American pool, snooker plus the latest in video game simulators.


Escape Rooms Ennis |
An interactive adventure game in which a group of players (up to six) enter an immersive environment (the ‘room’), to accomplish their mission in 60 minutes by using their observation skills, communication, focus, logic, and creative-thinking to find clues and solve puzzles.

Based at Tierney’s Cycles in the town centre, bikes can be hired for all level and standards. Whether you want to head into the Burren, beat the traffic at the Cliffs of Moher or explore Ennis, there’s always the two-wheel alternative.
